Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- One of the newest trends in America today is about men growing facial hair (it's ok to laugh). With TV shows like 'Duck Dynasty' (Beards are back!) and IFC's 'Whisker Wars' (bearded men competitions), facial hair is on the rise.
Michael Lax, the president of Doggyboymedia.com, is an avid fan of this trend. "When I first started growing my beard, I noticed that strangers, other bearded men, would stop just to say hello." Lax continues "I realized that I was part of a community, a fraternal order of men who decided to grow out their beards."
With this 'new revelation' Michael began to think about how he could help facilitate the acceptance of bearded men in American society. Michael said "Bearded men are discriminated against in the workplace, shopping malls and just about every other place imaginable." Lax states "I credit David Crosby, from keeping me sane, while family, friends and other people tried to get me to shave." "If it wasn't for Crosby's song 'Almost Cut My Hair' I would of buckled."
Already a successful designer, Michael decided to create T-Shirts for the bearded community. His website: www.doggyboymedia.com is receiving all types of accolades. The site is original, funny and speaks to the bigger purpose of what it means to have facial hair. The web sites 'Top Ten List' is something that David Letterman would be proud of.
Michael believes that "It's not just facial hair. . . it's a statement of freedom."
