Newton Mercedes-Benz Shoppers Love Keenan Motors Community Involvement

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 15, 2012 - Every winter, thousands of underprivileged children are left without proper winter clothing, leaving them cold and susceptible to catching cold. Luckily, organizations like the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation and events like Driving Away the Cold are in place to help provide these children with adequate clothing.

In 2006, the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids partnered up with an organization called Operation Warm, an organization that distributed new winter coats to chilly children in need all across the state. Through this partnership, Drive Away the Cold was born, which allowed local car dealerships like Keenan Motors, serving Newton, to give back to the community.

As one of the 160 car dealerships that have collectively distributed more than 108,000 new winter coats in the past five years, Keenan Mercedes-Benz is thrilled to once again participate this year in an effort to keep children in need warm.  In addition to the nearly 200 coats they donated this year, an additional coat was pledged for each Mercedes-Benz sold in the month of September.

Keenan Motors Gives Helps Keep Those In Need Warm This Winter

Keenan Motors, serving Newton, has been a proud participant in the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Organization’s Driving Away the Cold event since its inception. This year, Driving Away the Cold has garnered thousands of brand new winter coats to be distributed amongst the youth all over the greater Philadelphia area.

Because of their partnership with Operation Warm, a brand new winter coat can be purchased for the price of $16.50 a piece. Additionally, for every new car sold at Keenan Motors in September, another coat was purchased and donated.  So, by simply driving off the lot in a new Mercedes-Benz, customers provide warmth and security for a child in need.
