ARM Customer Wins Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Risk Industry

November 15, 2012 - Active Risk announced today that Skanska, the project development and construction group, were named the ‘Overall Winner for Outstanding Contribution to the Risk Industry’ at the CIR Risk Management Awards. Skanska use Active Risk Manager (ARM) software to support risk management processes on capital projects. In addition, the Skanska/Balfour Beatty Joint Venture won the ‘Major Capital Projects Award’ for their work to enhance the UK’s road infrastructure. Skanska were also ‘Highly Commended’ in the Transformation category and Kevin Morecroft, Risk Manager at Skanska Civil Engineering, was shortlisted for Risk Manager of the Year.

The ‘Overall Winner for Outstanding Contribution to the Risk Industry’ is selected from the winners, and those shortlisted, in the 17 individual awards categories. According to the judges, Skanska scooped this premier prize for demonstrating a “joined-up, consistent and effective risk management philosophy in action.”
