It was Director Stewart Davies that came up with the idea:
"It's not a boiler that customers want, it's the heating and hot water the boiler provides, so why sell the customer a boiler only so they can worry about maintaining, fixing and servicing it. We've turned this idea on its head and instead provide a peace of mind service with heating and hot water 365 days a year."
The new service branded Everlasting Boilers provides a free boiler and then makes sure that it is running perfectly in return for a small fixed weekly fee. The customer gets an efficient, energy saving boiler that Everlasting Boilers installs and maintains to make sure it is running at its best 365 days a year.
The company's unique Boiler for Life scheme means that customers no longer have to worry about their heating and hot water. Under this new scheme there are no repair bills whatsoever as everything is included in the monthly payment of £38.09.
According to uSwitch, What Price and research by Everlasting Boilers the consumer is faced with high costs for installing and maintaining a boiler. It can cost around £4000 to supply and fit a new boiler, £320 to get it fixed over winter and £64 for a service. All these costs have to be paid up front and soon mount up.
Everlasting Boilers http://www.everlastingboilers.co.uk innovative scheme means that the company takes responsibility for the boiler. The customer doesn't really care or necessarily want to worry about running and maintaining a gas boiler, they just want the heating and hot water it provides.
The Yorkshire based firm believes this is the first scheme of its kind in the UK and believes it will mean a better deal for the consumer. In these tough economic times, especially running up to Christmas consumers do not necessarily have the money to pay up front for a new boiler or afford the fees to get an old inefficient boiler fixed.
Director Stewart Davies concluded:
"It's time consumers had the choice of a service like ours. They pay a small monthly payment and get everything included at no extra cost whatsoever. That includes 24/7 call outs, repairs, annual service, no upfront fees, no interest charges and a boiler that will continue to save them £300 a year off their gas bills."
