Who Will Wear The Crown? The Quest For The Next Miss District Of Columbia Usa

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Washington DC- After preparation and training, more than 35 contestants in the miss and teen categories will compete in interview, evening gown and swimsuit for the coveted title of Miss District of Columbia USA® and Miss District of Columbia Teen USA®.

Over the last four months, contestants have received training on interviewing skills, fitness and nutrition, stage presence, wardrobe, hair and make up and the infamous pageant walk.  This will be the official premier of the most elegant, poised and professional ladies of the District of Columbia on their quest to reign as the next Miss District of Columbia USA® and Miss District of Columbia Teen USA® Pageant weekend will be held from November 30-December 2, 2012 at The L'Enfant Plaza Hotel, 480 L'Enfant Plaza SW, Washington, DC 20024.

The winners will receive a prize package valued at more than $100,000 in scholarships, cash, clothing and prizes, along with a modeling contract and representation by MMG Models based in New York.  Both the miss and teen winners will go on to represent the District of Columbia and compete in the Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA® pageants.  During her reign as 2013 Miss District of Columbia USA® and 2013 Miss District of Columbia Teen USA® the titleholder will participate in community service with national and local charitable alliances such as The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Best Buddies, The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, Becky’s Fund and other causes close to their hearts.

Since 1954, the Miss District of Columbia USA® and Miss District of Columbia Teen USA® pageant has served as a platform for young women to pursue their goals and dreams with the support of educational scholarships and career development opportunities.
