Chase Wilson Education Announces Anti-Bullying Curriculum With GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Chase Wilson Education is pleased to announce Parsippany, NJ-based GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare is sponsoring their comprehensive anti-bullying curriculum entitled: The Building Blocks of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB): Bullying Redefined, which will be presented to four Morris County Schools. The schools receiving this new curriculum for teachers, counselors and administrators include: Parsippany High School, Madison High School, Roxbury High School, Morris Knolls High School. The anti-bullying curriculum was created for grades 6-12 and identifies, in detail, the 20 motivations that lead to harassment, intimidation and bullying, and goes far beyond traditional strategies. All of the curriculum materials will include GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare logos and “sponsored by” verbiage.

The innovative curriculum developed by Chase Wilson Education is just the forum to prevent and eradicate bullying,” said Greg Smith, Director, Regulatory Affairs and the Leader of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare's Community Outreach Team.

The curriculum was developed and written by Chase Wilson Education’s Director of Educational Programs, Andrew Yeager, a NJ School Psychologist and Student Assistance Coordinator, who lectures extensively and conducts trainings on bullying and adolescent issues throughout the country.

Student Assistance Coordinators Aimee Doyle (Parsippany High School), Vanessa Morgenthaler (Madison High School), Jennifer Kenny (Roxbury High School), and Patricia Colvin (Morris Knolls High School) will receive their respective school’s curriculum materials at a comprehensive bullying prevention workshop hosted by Chase Wilson Education and conducted by Yeager on November 13, 2012 in Bergen County.

The curriculum, designed for students in grades 6-12, is comprised of three distinct sections:

·         Part One: "The Building Blocks of Bullying"

·         Part Two: "Core Lessons, Classroom Infusion Lessons, & Film Analysis"


·         Part Three: "Counseling the HIB-Involved Student"
