For the first time since its inception five years ago, The Business Excellence Awards opened its doors to businesses from East Sussex, as well as Kent. Opening the Business Excellence Awards to the two counties, saw a record amount of entries across nine categories for 2012, with 138 entries in total.
Clive Collins said: “I am thrilled to have made the shortlist for The Kent and Sussex Business Excellence Awards and to be chosen from among so many other successful business people was a real honour. Although it is recognition for my efforts, I couldn’t do what I do without a great team of people around me.”
Organiser Ian Read, editor of the Courier, said: “Once again we have exceeded all expectations with an overwhelming number of entries to the awards. Kent and Sussex remain great places to do business, and this proves the area is holding its own despite all the doom and gloom.
This year’s success follows last year’s highlight when Clive was named runner-up in the Sussex Businessperson of the Year category of the Sussex Business Awards. Clive is also waiting to hear whether he has been successful in the Countryside Alliance Awards for which he has been nominated.
