“I am honored to be among such esteemed company,” says Douglas. “This award is so timely, and I am extremely grateful to be recognized for what I have been able to do for small businesses and entrepreneurs. As a strategist, I am always thinking of my next move, how to improve on existing technology systems and what steps I am taking to reach a desired goal. Today, however, as I look at this award, I am proud to be fully immersed in this moment—such a historic political climate where the phrase ‘anything is possible’ holds more true now than ever before.”
The FFCA ceremony at USC was the second ceremony, following another at Arizona State University. They Mistress of Ceremony and Keynote Speaker for the hour was the Honorable Judge Mablean Ephriam. Attended at the event were community activists, business owners, retired serviceman, etc. Recipients of the President’s award received an official White House pin, letter from President Barack Obama and a certificate signed by the President.
“I would like to thank FFCA for submitting my name to the White House,” says Douglas. Also, thank you President Obama for this esteemed award. I promise to make you both proud.”
