"BIGMOSCOW is business in Moscow through the eyes of the foreign investor," explains Editor-in-Chief, Nail Gafutulin. "The magazine´s original concept remains entirely intact, it is only that this issue focuses on one region in particular: the capital of Russia".
According to information available to the editors of BIGRUSSIA, tens of thousands of foreign nationals are now running their own businesses in Russia. Many of them are right here in Moscow. In an interview given to this magazine, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin points out that there are currently more than 10,000 foreign companies operating in the Russian capital alone, with figures for foreign investment over the last six months in excess of 33bn euro.
However, yet more is needed. Having incorporated new areas, Moscow has grown 2.5 times in size. Russia´s capital presents one of the most attractive markets (not to mention in terms of the distribution of municipal contracts) with its volume amounting to over $20bn. And the capital´s government are inviting investors, including those from overseas, to take part in the bidding process for procuring city orders. The Moscow government are taking practical steps (including distributing information)
