Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The range of business projects put into effect by foreign entrepreneurs in Moscow is incredibly diverse: from investment and property companies, to hostels, retail trade, and the supply of various kinds of equipment. What have they succeeded in achieving, how did they negotiate those age-old Russian problems, is it possible to emulate their greatest successes? The answers to these questions are to be found here, in this magazine. The leading roles in these accounts are assumed by natives of America, England, Italy, Holland, Japan, Greece.

"BIGMOSCOW is business in Moscow through the eyes of the foreign investor," explains Editor-in-Chief, Nail Gafutulin. "The magazine´s original concept remains entirely intact, it is only that this issue focuses on one region in particular: the capital of Russia".

According to information available to the editors of BIGRUSSIA, tens of thousands of foreign nationals are now running their own businesses in Russia. Many of them are right here in Moscow. In an interview given to this magazine, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin points out that there are currently more than 10,000 foreign companies operating in the Russian capital alone, with figures for foreign investment over the last six months in excess of 33bn euro.

However, yet more is needed. Having incorporated new areas, Moscow has grown 2.5 times in size. Russia´s capital presents one of the most attractive markets (not to mention in terms of the distribution of municipal contracts) with its volume amounting to over $20bn. And the capital´s government are inviting investors, including those from overseas, to take part in the bidding process for procuring city orders. The Moscow government are taking practical steps (including distributing information) to reduce to a minimum any inconvenience experienced by Russian and foreign investors, and to ensure that they are able to thrive and be of benefit to the city and its residents.

BIGMOSCOW - Business Investment Guide to MOSCOW is published with the support of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of Moscow and is part of the BIGRUSSIA - Business Investment Guide to RUSSIA series of publications. All three versions of the magazine (in Russian, English and German) are available for free download worldwide from the App Store and Google Play.
