Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Based on the love Subaru owners have for their vehicles and their desire to help worthy causes, the Subaru “Share the Love” event, runs from November 21, 2012 to January 2, 2013, and allows Subaru new vehicle customers to select from five charities to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, following their vehicle purchase or lease. Over the last four years the program had donated nearly $20 million to its partner organizations. This year's fifth-annual event is expected to deliver $5 million in donations to five charitable organizations.  The five charities participating in the program this year are: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), The USO, Make a Wish Foundation, Meals On Wheels Association of America, and The Alzheimer’s Association.

“We want to support national efforts in a way that not only stands out from the crowd, but is also relevant to our customers’ value systems – that of giving back to the community,” said Steve Porter from Subaru Concord

Subaru Concord is supporting Subaru's “Share the Love”  campaign locally by hosting the 3rd Annual ‘Make A Dog’s Day!’  Activities: Ensure you can be reunited with your pet if it ever becomes lost by taking advantage of $10 microchips courtesy of the Humane Society of Concord and Cabarrus County, participate in a seminar with your pet: “Obedience Versus Behavior:  How Dogs Make Better Decisions” with Swiftdogz Canine Services, find a fur-ever friend among adoptable pets and participate in a pet food drive benefitting Kitty City and the local Humane Society,  both ASPCA-supported organizations.  ‘Make a Dog’s Day’ is Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
