“The contributions of the award winners to our industry and the world are a wonderful example of how we can all make a difference for the greater good,” said Andrej Suskavcevic, President and CEO, Craft and Hobby Association.
Caron’s vision has created many “firsts” in innovation that have contributed to and changed the craft industry. One of her notable inventions includes the Spellbinders Wizard™ Universal Craft Tool, a universal die cutting and embossing machine that was the first to accept dies from all manufacturers and enable crafters to emboss brass stencils for the first time without the need for a light box. The first in the industry and world to introduce die templates that cut, emboss and stencil, Spellbinders was awarded a U.S. patent for the innovative technology. Caron is known for building strategic partnerships and relationships, freely sharing her knowledge, vision and success, to foster innovation and strengthen the industry through closer collaboration. Her philanthropic efforts have exposed many new people to crafting around the world.
“I am proud to receive the CHA 2012 Industry Achievement Award. From the beginning, we have remained dedicated to manufacturing the finest, highly detailed craft tools that provide value and versatility and allow crafters to explore beyond for unlimited creativity and inspiration,”
