Robert graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2010, where he played point guard for the men’s basketball team from 2007-2010. He joined ERA as an agent in January of 2011, specializing in commercial real estate. He is a committee member of the Columbia Tip Off Club and a Board Member of the University of South Carolina’s Lettermen’s Association.
"Having Robert on the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction Committee was crucial to our success. We were able to see an increase of $20,000 in sponsorship over last year’s event. This could not have been achieved without Robert's connections in the community and his willingness to support the March of Dimes mission. Overall, the 2012 event raised over $98,000."
The March of Dimes Foundation is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. It was founded by then-President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938 to combat polio and has since found the vaccine for polio. The Columbia, SC Chapter of the March of Dimes holds several events each year to raise awareness and funds. They host a total of 11 fundraising events throughout the year including the Signature Chef’s Auction, March for Babies, Real Estate Award Breakfast, and African American Achievement Award Breakfast.
The Signature Chef's Auction is an annual, high profile black-tie event, which pays tribute to the culinary excellence of leading local chefs, restaurant owners and caterers in the Midlands. It is the March of Dimes premier gala event and helps support vital research into the causes and ways to prevent premature birth. Money raised also support community programs to help moms have healthier babies. This year the Signature Chef’s Auction raised over $98,000 through a silent auction and a competitive live auction of one-of-a-kind culinary and travel packages.
