The new Associate Program extends participation in the IJIS Institute’s information sharing and national standards mission to employees of government agencies, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher learning who were previously ineligible for membership. Associates of the IJIS Institute will be able to network with industry leaders and colleagues, obtain reduced registration fees for IJIS Institute events, and receive updates and news on information sharing and national standards impacting their work, among other benefits.
Mr. Hobgood said, “In the past, I have been invited by the IJIS Institute to work with them and their private sector members on several important projects. In particular, I am gratified to have participated on the External Alarm Interface Exchange project and the development of the Unified Computer Aided Dispatch Functional Requirements.”
To join the Associate Program, a no-fee promotion will run until June 30, 2013, at which time the annual fee for new IJIS Institute Associates will become $95.
