Nov. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- World record breaking recruitment business Blue Pelican has appointed three new consultants, Nik Maynard, Lloyd Pettet and Laura Crouch, to focus on the XML, ECM and Salesforce.com skill areas within IT recruitment.   Already established as an expert within the Dynamics, JD Edwards and SharePoint sectors, Blue Pelican Technology has now expanded to cover these three IT skill areas that are in increasingly high demand.

Nik Maynard (http://www.bluepelican.com/staff/nik-nicholas-maynard-consultant-technology) has nearly 10 years of experience within IT recruitment and has specialised in XML for the last four years.   “I’m excited to be launching the XML service for Blue Pelican as the area is booming.  For instance, this year’s MarkLogic XML conference has more than 300 attendees when last year it was around 70.”  XML is often utilised as the data store for organisations that work with large amounts of data and content – such as the BBC Olympics website – and candidates with experience are in high demand from large corporations and consultancies.

Laura Crouch (http://www.bluepelican.com/staff/laura-crouch-resourcer-t...) has been working as a Resourcer for Blue Pelican Technology since January, and has been promoted to Associate Consultant in order to provide a dedicated recruitment service for specialists within Salesforce.com. The popularity of this cloud-based CRM has meant a high demand from both end-users and consultancies for Architects, Developers and Project Managers with Salesforce.com expertise.

Lloyd Pettet (http://www.bluepelican.com/staff/lloyd-pettet-resourcer-t...) is an experienced recruiter from the Financial Services sector and will be using this background to help develop the Blue Pelican service within the ECM (Enterprise Content Management) sector, covering Adobe CQ5, Filenet, Autonomy, Opentext Content Server/Livelink, Oracle UCM and Documentum.

The launch of the expanded Technology team is another 2012 milestone for Blue Pelican, the specialist recruitment company based in Tunbridge Wells which is 10 years old this year.  Having been launched in 2002 to meet the demand for an agency that provided genuinely specialist recruitment services based on in-depth knowledge of niche market areas and the people that work within them, Blue Pelican now provides such services within the Pharmaceutical, Technology, Legal and Marketing sectors, receiving excellent satisfaction feedback from clients and candidates.

Nik Maynard explains that this was one of the key attractions for him to join Blue Pelican “There are many generalist recruiters in the market that focus on clients rather than on skill areas.  Blue Pelican impressed me because they wanted me to focus purely on XML – not handle other areas too – so I can continue to build a tight, niche, specialist network and really offer a specialist service to our clients and candidates.”

Nik, Lloyd and Laura joined Blue Pelican just at the right time as they are now official Guinness World Record Holders – having been part of the Blue Pelican teams that broke the world records for the quickest pyramid cup stack and tennis ball pass at a team building event in September.
