Traton Homes Wins Seven 2012 OBIE Awards

Nov. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Traton Homes is pleased to announce that they received seven awards at the 32nd OBIE Awards event on Saturday, November 3rd in Atlanta.  Held annually by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, the OBIE Awards recognize achievement in building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.

Ed Olwine, former pitcher for the Atlanta Braves (1986-1988) and a sales associate with Traton for over eight years, was named Salesperson of the Year.  Winning Salesperson of the Year is further recognition of Olwine’s hard work and dedication to the Atlanta home building industry. For the past four years, he has been recognized in the New Homes-Top 5% by the Atlanta Board of Realtors, ranking number six in 2011 among all new home agents in Atlanta.

After his time as a relief pitcher for the Braves, Olwine decided to stay in Atlanta where he ran into the agent who sold him his first home. He decided he was interested in the real estate business for his post-baseball career and Olwine has now been in the real estate business for more than 17 years. Since coming to Traton eight years ago, Olwine has sold at several communities ranging from Walden Park on Atlanta’s southside to his current community, The Estates of Fernwood Creek (mid $300,000s to low $500,000s) in Cherokee County. Lastly, Traton Homes won Silver in the Best E-Marketing category for their spring inventory communication piece.
