Troy, Michigan – November 10, 2012 – Deb Miller, President/CEO of Hugrz Boot Wraps, has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year, 10 employees or less, in the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, and the organizations they run. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2012 awards received entries from 17 nations and territories.

Deb Miller is an accidental entrepreneur from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. She never intended to create a product, and certainly did not set out to start a company. Yet, within the last 12 months, Miller has turned her fashion creation into a mainstream must have fashion accessory. She is the creator of Hugrz™ Boot Wraps, the original, patent-pending, boot cover that allows you to change the look of your boots to express your personal style and/or imitate the top boot trends of today. Hugrz™ are now available in over 160 stores in the USA, and can be found in Canada and Austria. However, what means more to Miller is that the success of Hugrz™ Boot Wraps has helped create over 30 jobs in the hard hit manufacturing areas of Detroit, MI and Fall River, MA. Additionally, 2 families who can’t easily travel to work have pulled their homes out of foreclosure sewing one of the product’s accessories in their living room. "The response to the product has been overwhelming, but what means the most to me is the opportunity it provides for me to help others," Miller told a local ABC reporter.
Hugrz™ Boot Wraps were featured on the “Made in America” series on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer; named top swag at the Sundance Film Festival; as well as chosen as a luxury gift for celebrities at the Country Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards, Academy Awards and NY's Fashion Week. Miller was also featured in a Huffington Post profile about women who start a new chapter after age 40.
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.
