One of the many issues that happens in a lot of design companies and content publishing companies is the fact that between messages going back and forth between the manager at the client company and the manager at the design or content company is that the task or project being requested often times gets lost in translation, causing a lot of time needing to be spent making corrections on projects that could have been done correctly the first time. The Project Management Portal looks to fix this by doing something that sounds basic on paper, but proves to be priceless in its value; the Project Management Portal that Design Buddy’s has created basically pairs all of the people that are working on the clients project with the workers from the client side in one “Facebook”
Clients that work with Design Buddy’s are going to absolutely love this new system, and it’s amazing to see that Design Buddy’s will actually be able to use this system as an extra selling point for their services, because no one else has something like this. The Project Management System is made to be easy; if a worker from the client side needs to task a project to a “Design Buddy”, they can make a task that goes directly to the person working on their project. They can also set a due date, and can attach as many resources as they want that might assist the Design Buddy that is working on the client’s project. There is also a chat function that will allow clients to chat directly with the person that is working on their project, saving the time to have to go back and forth between a Skype session and the Project Management Portal.
There are some great features with the Project Management Portal(http://client.designbuddys.com), such as the Wall, the Task Panel, Project Management, The Hub, and more. The wall is a Facebook-inspired feature that allows users to post on a wall that everyone will see that is assigned to the project. Posting on a wall will also alert everyone who is assigned to the project via email/SMS. The task panel is an area where tasks can be assigned to different workers that are working on the project, and this is a great way to stay organized with each project. The Project Management Portal is broken down into different projects as a way to help keep everyone organized inside of their respective groups. The Hub is the place to go if you need to communicate with anyone, as it provides the persons name, their department, and their contact information. Chat sessions are also able to be started from The Hub.
Design Buddy’s is a design company that is starting to gain a lot of momentum and is looking to explode on a national level very soon. The company already has it’s own “Developer Portal” that all of the employees use at Design Buddy’s, and they have had a lot of time to perfect the basic idea for the Project Management Portal from this complimenting system. All in all, it’s easy to see that this is a system that will prove to be quite useful with any current clients, and all future clients that will be using Design Buddy’s in the very near future. Quite simple, the Project Management Portal (http://client.designbuddys.com)
