Design Buddy’s Client Project Management Portal Is A Great Resource

This new system is called the “Project Management Portal”(http://client.designbuddys.com), and is truly a quantum leap in the ways that it allows clients to interact with employees on their side as well as the Design Buddy’s side. No one else has a system like this, and it’s exciting to see such a great resource that is about to drop.

One of the many issues that happens in a lot of design companies and content publishing companies is the fact that between messages going back and forth between the manager at the client company and the manager at the design or content company is that the task or project being requested often times gets lost in translation, causing a lot of time needing to be spent making corrections on projects that could have been done correctly the first time. The Project Management Portal looks to fix this by doing something that sounds basic on paper, but proves to be priceless in its value; the Project Management Portal that Design Buddy’s has created basically pairs all of the people that are working on the clients project with the workers from the client side in one “Facebook” like page that allows for client employees to communicate directly with the person that is doing the work on their project. The wall is a Facebook-inspired feature that allows users to post on a wall that everyone will see that is assigned to the project. Posting on a wall will also alert everyone who is assigned to the project via email/SMS. The task panel is an area where tasks can be assigned to different workers that are working on the project, and this is a great way to stay organized with each project. The Project Management Portal is broken down into different projects as a way to help keep everyone organized inside of their respective groups. The Hub is the place to go if you need to communicate with anyone, as it provides the persons name, their department, and their contact information.
