After operating for more than 13 years across Greater Manchester from Hale and Altrincham to Oldham, the company is now determined to offer its expertise to a new audience by organising baby-swim classes right across Cheshire.
“Despite four years of recession, mums and dads have continued to bring their children to us for our swimming courses because they understand the value in terms of health and safety,” said founder and director Wendy Edmondson, speaking from her home in Broxton, in the heart of Cheshire.
“We believe there will be equal demand for the quality service we provide right across Cheshire, so we are currently identifying and investing in suitable locations for Aqua Babies classes within the county.”
Aqua Babies have a nine-strong team of teachers who currently run baby-swim classes across Greater Manchester, using swimming pools in the city centre and beyond. The company has its own fully equipped high-tech swimming pool at Altrincham.
“We must have taught thousands of Greater Manchester babies to swim since we launched the business,” added Wendy, a fully trained Primary and Early Years teacher who decided to swap the classroom for the swimming pool in 1999.
“Yet the demand for our service is as strong as ever despite the economic challenges. Mums and Dads will always want to equip their children for life and they know our baby-swim lessons offer great value. They also love the experience of physically helping their baby become confidant in the water.
“Of course they also appreciate our vast experience in this field and that all are staff are trained to the very highest standards. In fact Aqua Babies was the first baby swim school to achieve the Swimming Teacher’s Association STA mark, a recognised quality accreditation.
“As a business, Aqua Babies has enjoyed constant growth over the past 13 years. We are sure we will see rapid growth now that we are moving into a new area outside Greater Manchester for the first time.”
Although the company has its HQ at Sale Moor, Wendy lives in the rural Cheshire village of Broxton, which has been a convenient base while she has been checking-out pool facilities across the county.
She said: “We are looking forward to welcoming Cheshire mums, dads and babies to our baby-swim classes.
