The all new Young At Heart board game launches today.
The game aims to raise awareness of the challenges of growing older, while bringing together all generations for family fun across the board games table.
Steve Reece, the Game’s inventor said “I’ve been professionally involved with board games for years, previously managing huge titles like Monopoly, Cluedo and others in a different working life. But I hadn’t seen anybody launch a game reflecting the biggest demographic trend of our time, and sought to fill the very obvious gap with a funny and light hearted game. While the game pokes fun at the often unfortunate things that happen as we get older, there is a serious point behind the game, and by creating an entertaining and funny game we aimed to take some of the tension out of cross generational understanding”
The game was tested with more mature people from age 61 up to 93, to ensure the game was as appropriate as it is entertaining, and the categorical feedback was that this is a great game, and a good ‘tongue in cheek’ Christmas gift for those harder to buy for older people who seem to have everything.
The game is distributed under license by Imagination Games in the UK & Eire, and is available from all leading retail stores.
The game’s inventor is available for on air interviews from now until Christmas 2012. He is an acknowledged expert on the Board Games and Toy industry, with a published book “The 55 Features of Best Selling board games”. Interview’s are subject to availability, but we will do our best to fit all in!
