Follow on Google News | Come "Get The Funk Out" To Help Kids!!By: DeAngelis Studio DeAngelis Studio of Music, well known for its "Rock School Band" program, is putting together a Christmas party benefit event that will Rock the Merrimack Valley! Proceeds from this event are going to "The Rock School Scholarship Fund" to help local kids get into music. The Rock School Scholarship Fund, a non-profit organization, helps provide scholarship funds and instruments for children ages 7 to 17 years of age who want to participate in a rock school program. "Teaming up with The Rock School Scholarship Fund, can help our local kids, who cannot afford tuition on their own, make some of their rock n'roll dreams come true". says Mike DeAngelis, "We love what we do at DeAngelis Studio and want to do all we can to make it possible for more kids". When Mike DeAngelis contacted Pat Badger from Extreme to see if he might want to get involved, Pat was excited to do what he could to help local kids. Pat and Mike, who knew each other from the 80's Boston music scene, had the opportunity to reconnect over the past few years. After Pat sat in to watch one of Mike DeAngelis' young bands rehearse, he remarked " Wish we would have had something like this when we were young!" And that is what this is all about - talented musicians sharing their knowledge and experiences with the next generation. Co-Owner Nancy Burger remarked, "Music is an amazing thing - we have seen students lives completely transformed....The Gift of Music" let's share it!" If you would like to help support our local kids & music, please get your tickets or call to offer any donation items for our raffles: http://mycommunitytickets.net/ For more information: End
