Celebrity Hairstylist Adir Abergel Gives MASTERS Audio Club the Inside Scoop on Hollywood’s Elite

Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Adir’s life reads like a Hollywood film. Born in Israel and once a member of the American Ballet Theater in New York City, his tenure was cut short due to an irreversible injury. Although his dance career was brief, it helped him hone his artistic eye—a gift that eventually led to a new passion: hairstyling. Relocating to Los Angeles, Adir became acquainted with Arthur Johns, an influential 1970s hairstylist famous for transforming the locks of leading Hollywood ladies. By age 20, Adir was ready to branch out on his own and quickly became “one to watch” in his field.

Catapulted into the fashion and editorial world, Adir landed work with top publications like Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, V, and W. By age 22, he opened his first studio. A celebrity clientele soon followed as he worked his magic on leading A-listers like Jennifer Garner, Keira Knightley, Rachel McAdams, Sienna Miller, Sandra Bullock, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Biel. Adir’s work has taken him around the world and back, from the runway shows of Ralph Lauren and Carolina Herrera, to styling Kate Beckinsale in Cannes, to getting Kristen Stewart red-carpet ready in Tokyo, to doing eight hair changes in under two minutes each for Anne Hathaway when she co-hosted the 2011 Academy Awards.

As Celebrity Ambassador for Frédéric Fekkai since 2008, Adir serves as a media spokesperson, offering tips, tricks, and his insider’s point of view. He also offers his celebrity-caliber cuts at the luxurious Frédéric Fekkai Melrose Place salon.
