Cresswind at Lake Lanier Named 50+ Housing Community of the Year

Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Kolter Signature Homes is excited to announce that Cresswind at Lake Lanier was named the 50+ Housing Community of the Year at the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE awards. The premier gated, active-adult community located in Gainesville, Ga., took home a total of eight OBIE awards at the event, which was held at the Cobb Galleria on November 3.

The community was the “most award-winning community” of this year’s awards program, receiving six gold and two silver awards, in community, building, marketing and other categories.  

In building categories, the community received two awards for products in two of their different price points:  Best Building Design – Detached – $299,999 and Under (Gold Winner) and Best Building Design – Detached – $500,000 to $749,999 (Silver Winner).

The community swept the marketing categories, with recognition in the following awards:

·         Best Community Information Center and Sales Center (Gold Winner)

·         Best Magazine Ad – Full Page (Gold Winner)

·         Best Flyer/Mailer (Gold Winner)

·         Best Advertising Campaign – Budget Under $10,000 (Gold Winner)

In the special category, the community also received a silver award for Best Amenity Package – 500+ Units/Total Build Out. The spectacular 40,000 square foot clubhouse opened in May 2012. It includes indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, gourmet demonstration kitchen, arts center and much more. In addition to winning eight prestigious OBIE awards, the community was recently awarded Best Senior Community Clubhouse of the Year by 50+ Builder Magazine.

The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to now feature more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.
