Nov. 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Election Day was a proud moment for President Barack Obama. He was re-elected as president and the feeling of victory was shared not only within the White House but amongst states lines from those who voted and campaigned for Barack Obama. One grassroot organization which shared in this joy was National Dance For Obama. National Dance for Obama is a grassroots effort completely independent of the Obama campaign and was conceived of by Anjali Khurana, a dance choreographer from Boston. The initiative is being launched and led by a passionate team of artists, Obama supporters, friends, and dreamers of all backgrounds and professions who have joined forces from cities across the U.S.

These flash mobs were on going throughout election season and the most recent was facilitated on November 3rd. The flash mobs represent unexpected spinoffs from a wider spread nationwide flash mob that took place only weeks prior in 19 different cities and 18 states across the nation. These flash mobs are being linked to GOTV efforts with participants of the National Dance for Obama community joining phonebanking and canvassing volunteer efforts after dancing. Efforts such as these that engage youth help account for such a high turn out in the youth vote.
