By: C&J Bus Lines A community-funded, nonprofit organization, Cocheco Valley Humane Society (CVHS) is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals in Strafford County, NH and Southern Maine. They are a safe, temporary home for more than 2,300 surrendered, lost, abused, neglected, or unwanted animals each year. "Cocheco Valley Humane Society is very grateful for the all of the support from C&J Bus Lines employees and friends. We are excited to be part of this annual event and we want to thank all of the participants for their generous donations" said Leslie Heindl, Executive Director at CVHS. C&J donated $10 to the CVHS for everyone that participated as well as matched $1 for every dollar donated. “We are proud to continue to support the efforts of the Humane Society with this donation only event and we hope to continue the event for years to come.” said Jamie Lesniak, Vice President of Operations with C&J. The combined donations of many collected $2,000 to provide food, shelter and love for our furry friends.
