The Mommylancer will help moms who freelance learn how to manage time, generate business ideas, balance freelancing deadlines and family, business growth and more. This blog site puts important tips and advice right at the fingertips of moms who freelance and own small businesses.
"There are so many moms who want to be freelance writers, graphic designers, business consultants and more, but just have no idea how or where to start," said Apryl Beverly, owner, BAAB. "The Mommylancer will answer all of their questions and lead them toward success through consistent advice and tips on starting, building, marketing and growing their freelance businesses."
According to a recent Sologig.com study, nearly 2,500 employers rely on freelancers, contractors and consultants to keep employment costs down. About 55 percent of companies surveyed have either relied on freelance or contract workers or intend to in the future.
Approximately 20 percent of respondents said they are leaning more on freelance support given the shortage of qualified candidates. One in 10 businesses reported they plan to work with freelancers in the future.
The Mommylancer will serve as a full-service resource for freelance moms who can and are determined to do it all - have the kids, family and business success. The site will feature guest bloggers from various disciplines to share their stories, tips and advice.
"Our goal is to provide a resource that covers the challenges and opportunities of freelance designers, writers, legal consultants and more," said Beverly. "We want to serve as a one-stop shop for moms who freelance in a variety of areas."
