The IMT’s PGDM (Executive) is in response to demand of the industry. As of now IMT-CDL trains 15,000 managers across various level annually. We have always believed that the requirements of experienced executives are very different from Freshers in the management space. The beauty of this programme is that it is powered entirely by online multimedia, for delivery.
Going by the industry buzz, a programme as innovative as PGDM (Executive) has only been possible because of developments in Web 2.0 for education and IMT-CDL's deep relationships with corporate houses. The major reason for this is that IMT-CDL has in place a number of partnerships with leading corporates and PSU’s. Its long list of tie-ups include world class organisations like the Aditya Birla Group, ONGC, Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC), Royal Bank of Scotland, Nucleus Software etc. The active involvement of these organisations has powered IMT-CDL to come up with a highly innovative curriculum and delivery method for its PGDM (Executive). The programme is expected to be intensive on industry interaction, delivered entirely online, and use multimedia tools like extensive webinars by industry experts for impactful delivery. In other words, the IMT-CDL’s philosophy behind its PGDM (Executive) programme is that managers who are already high up the corporate ladder need to learn from those who have made it into the boardrooms, and at the same time have the opportunity of networking with peers as well as well-known professionals of the strong IMT Network.
In the past few decades, Management has evolved immensely. Our experience over the years clearly indicates that mid-level managers beyond 3 years of Industry experience acquire a certain management knowledge base. A regular MBA, which is theory-heavy, is essential for freshers; not seasoned managers who are already aware of management terminologies and concepts. A substantive percentage of such senior managers have so far comprised a part of our 2-year PGDM programme. Hereafter, they will be have the opportunity to empower themselves with a one year PGDM (Executive).
The PGDM (Executive) is the latest in a series of innovations that has catapulted IMT-CDL to the leader’s position at a dizzying speed. IMT-CDL’s iconic rise began in 2007 when the IMT-CDL curriculum and delivery went completely online with the Learning Management System – a system that numerous institutions across the globe have tried to ape without much success. In 2008, IMT-CDL became the first institution in India to introduce the concept of Digital Library. With this innovation, students of IMT-CDL could access the most advanced of books and study material at the click of a mouse, without having to spend valuable time looking for them. It was also in 2008 that the unique Online Examination System, and the Fair Examination System were added to the IMT-CDL IT-backbone. In 2009, IMT-CDL was the first to begin delivering lectures through online video conferencing, making the locations of the teacher and the taught irrelevant. In 2010, the Online Assignment feature was added to the potent Learning Management System and the ‘curriculum review-and-updating-
The PGDM (Executive) participants will not only be exposed to all these innovative learning experiences but will also have access to the phenomenal IMT Faculty power. IMT-CDL Faculty members are required to address numerous students on different topics at the same time through video conferencing as well as online classroom lectures.
Admission to IMT-CDL PGDM (Executive) Programme begins from 15 November 2012. The online admission forms will be available on the said date at the official IMT-CDL site www.imtcdl.ac.in
The participants of the 1st Batch will begin the PGDM (Executive) Programme from 01 January 2013.
