PRLog - Nov. 8, 2012 - In recognition of America Recycles Day on November 15th, Greg Pitts, the world's most diverse self-taught artist, will exhibit his recycled collection made of scrap wood, glass, and metal. His artwork in this collection was created using various objects donated to him by friends and acquaintances. Many of the found objects were felt to be of no use, but Mr. Pitts has been able to convert them into pieces of art that not only stand out, but are theme-based.
One in particular is titled "Stand Your Ground." This title is based on the controversial "stand your ground" law in Florida that was behind the Trayvon Martin shooting in Sanford, FL. The artist used a recycled wood palette as the basis for this piece.
"Stand Your Ground", "Alien Encounter" and "Emotions"
(which was titled based on the intensity of the emotions of those involved with and following the 2012 Presidential election)and other creations will be on exhibit at the RAW Gallery in West Palm Beach Florida.
Greg Pitts works are currently in Australia, Austria, South Africa, Canada and various other locations throughout the United States.
To see this collection up-close, join the artist at the RAW Gallery
