By: HAGS SMP The company will operate from two sites in the UK: the headquarters being located at new purpose built premises in Egham, Surrey with manufacturing taking place at what was SMP Playground’s facility in Selby, Yorkshire. The creation of the new organisation, effective from November 5th, is a natural progression for two of the UK’s most successful and well respected play companies who, over the last 2 years have responded to changing market conditions and emerging business opportunities by collaborating and sharing resources and expertise across a number of areas most notably new product development, distribution and export co-ordination and management. Says Mr Mark Hardy, Executive Vice President at PlayPower Inc: “The company will provide UK customers with a portfolio of Play and Recreation products which, in terms of its depth, breadth, innovation and value, is second to none. Our product offering when combined with our range of highly-effective, ‘best-in-class’ HAGSSMP will be led by Managing Director, Steve Sylvester, who comments: “From our actions here I am confident that customers will soon be able to see, experience and benefit from a range of new, innovative products from HAGSSMP that demonstrate perfectly the synergies and advantages resulting from combining the strengths and expertise of two industry leading companies.
