Mindcage Welcomes New Vocal Powerhouse Hignite to the Fold

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- American progressive metal act Mindcage welcome vocalist Jeff Hignite as they embark on their most ambitious recording to date, an elaborate concept album titled “Our Own Devices”.  
The band consists of founding member/guitarist Dietrick Hardwick, bass player Brian Howell, drummer Craig Nudo, and introducing singer Jeff Hignite. This much anticipated 2nd album is slated for release in 2013.

Hignite’s musical background is deeply rooted in power metal.  His vocal influences include Bruce Dickinson, Michael Kiske, Russell Allen, and early Geoff Tate.  On joining Mindcage, Jeff stated, “I haven't experienced the musical kinship before like I do with Mindcage.  It is something I just can't explain, but hopefully with the project coming together you will hear what I mean.”

“Jeff sets himself apart from the other super-singers with his own distinctive approach.” says Dietrick Hardwick. “He is an incredible person with a lot of heart, and you totally feel this when he sings. People literally get gooseflesh. He's been the missing part of this family and now it's like he has been in Mindcage all along. He just belongs. We have finally found the voice of Mindcage.”

Mindcage and Hignite have caught the attention of famed producer, Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Megadeth, Motley Crue, W.A.S.P., Overkill, Accept), who has offered to produce the lead vocals and guitar solos, as well as mix and master “Our Own Devices” in his state-of-the-art Wireworld studios in Nashville.
