Masters Conference Names Founder Robert E. Childress as CEO

Highly respected eDiscovery conference gains multi-faceted leader

Childress has served in the background with the Masters Conference since 2006 and brings more than 20 years of experience in litigation support, legal technology, entrepreneurship and education to the position. Childress is recognized as one of the 20 most influential people in the legal software industry and was featured on the cover of Law Technology News. Throughout the years, he has held senior positions with a number of key technology corporations including LexisNexis, Thomson & Thomson, Elsevier Science, CXA, Inc., Shepard’s McGraw-Hill, and most recently Wave Software. As the president of Wave Software, Childress was the catalyst for the tremendous growth of the company, developing it into one of the leading legal technology companies in the industry. While at LexisNexis, Childress managed product design and software sales for legal management software products. Among his many achievements, Childress is also the founder of the Masters Conference and the co-founder of a charity golf event for lawyers. He counts the 2004/2005 National Register Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals and the 2005 Florida Small Businessman of the Year among his awards.
