PRLog - Nov. 7, 2012 - Decadent Nation was formed in 2005 as a five-piece rock band founded by lead singer Colin LaVaute.  After a few lineup changes,  critical acclaim for past EP’s and CD’s along with a death defying wreck while on tour, Decadent Nation evolved into a band full of passion, electrifying music that rocks audiences from all over.

Decadent Nation is proud to announce the release of “Fortaleza” on November 6th, 2012.  The lead single “Dan Boone Stomp” is a song referring to the early explorer Daniel Boone who lived in the same mid-Missouri area that the band lives in, Boone County.  This song is an ode to this explorer and the home state of Missouri.  The theme focuses on two rivers, the Missouri River and a “pahoehoe” (molten lava).  As a verse in the song goes ‘destruction breeds creation’ and so they make their way.  This song has a great chorus sounding like thousands chanting/singing the same anthem.  Vocals are powerful and they match word for word with that back up music that will knock you off your feet.

“Fortaleza” is an eclectic and diverse CD.  Each song carries its own energy, change ups in riffs, style and overall sound.  What a clever band of individuals that have merged to bring such authentic material to the airwaves.

“Fortaleza” is an adrenaline charged journey, which displays the band member’s evolution.  Rockers love this kind of experience and look forward to getting the DN injection soon!

Prior release “There Will Be No Doubt” (2010) and “Decadent Nation EP” (2008) is available now.  “Fortaleza” is set for digital and physical release on November 6, 2012.

Accolades and Acclaims:

"Decadent Nation is the real deal. "Fortaleza" bears the markings of a legendary rock band in the making. The juicy riffage, breakneck beats, and epic wall of sound DN creates make you wonder if Soundgarden and Clutch had a lovechild. Simply awesome."-Jim Rose, Jim Rose Circus

"'Fortaleza', is one of the best rock albums I have heard this year. As soon as you hear the first strains of the magnificent opener to this album, the instrumental, "Welcome To..." you know this album is something special. More than a head-on rock album, 'Fortaleza' offers many diverging influences that come together to make it a must-listen for any rock aficionado." - Simon Rose, 102.3 BXR

"The new Decadent Nation album "Fortaleza" is an energetic, fast paced, rock and roll ride that will leave you wanting more. The album is overflowing with substance, meaningful lyrics and straight forward punch to the face guitar riffs. "Fortaleza" with leave you bruised, battered and thankful for the rocking beat down."-Shags, 96.7 KCMQ

"Shades of Black Sabbath. Who said rock and roll is dead? 'Fortaleza' invokes the hard rock sounds of the seventies, while opening the door a crack so the future comes streaming through like fugitive sunlight. Fuckin' A, Decadent Nation. Make that new album a mind blowing journey."- Karla Fetrow, Subversify.com

Decadent Nation played with Les Claypool, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Shadows Fall, Powerman 5000, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Dead Man, Black Stone Cherry and Soulfly.

One event that needs to noted is after playing over 100 shows in 2011, they had tragedy befall them this year when on their way to play military shows in the Gulf Region.  Only one half hour away from their destination, the band was in a wreck that flipped their touring vehicle, destroying their touring capabilities and most of their musical equipment.  Barely escaping with their lives and with moderate injuries, the band refused to slow down.  They continued work on their new CD “Fortaleza” and are bak on their feet in a big way.  AS the band says “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
