Accolades and Acclaims:
"Decadent Nation is the real deal. "Fortaleza" bears the markings of a legendary rock band in the making. The juicy riffage, breakneck beats, and epic wall of sound DN creates make you wonder if Soundgarden and Clutch had a lovechild. Simply awesome."-Jim Rose, Jim Rose Circus
"'Fortaleza', is one of the best rock albums I have heard this year. As soon as you hear the first strains of the magnificent opener to this album, the instrumental, "Welcome To..." you know this album is something special. More than a head-on rock album, 'Fortaleza' offers many diverging influences that come together to make it a must-listen for any rock aficionado."
"The new Decadent Nation album "Fortaleza" is an energetic, fast paced, rock and roll ride that will leave you wanting more. The album is overflowing with substance, meaningful lyrics and straight forward punch to the face guitar riffs. "Fortaleza" with leave you bruised, battered and thankful for the rocking beat down."-Shags, 96.7 KCMQ
"Shades of Black Sabbath. Who said rock and roll is dead? 'Fortaleza' invokes the hard rock sounds of the seventies, while opening the door a crack so the future comes streaming through like fugitive sunlight. Fuckin' A, Decadent Nation. Make that new album a mind blowing journey."- Karla Fetrow, Subversify.com
Decadent Nation played with Les Claypool, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Shadows Fall, Powerman 5000, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Dead Man, Black Stone Cherry and Soulfly.
One event that needs to noted is after playing over 100 shows in 2011, they had tragedy befall them this year when on their way to play military shows in the Gulf Region. Only one half hour away from their destination, the band was in a wreck that flipped their touring vehicle, destroying their touring capabilities and most of their musical equipment. Barely escaping with their lives and with moderate injuries, the band refused to slow down. They continued work on their new CD “Fortaleza”
