Pure Dominates Top UK Beauty and Spa Awards Shortlist

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Scotland’s largest day spa and beauty group, PURE Spa & Beauty, are pleased to announce their succession to the finals of the 2013 Professional Beauty Awards. This year, PURE have been shortlisted for two categories, Day Spa of the Year and Beauty Salon of the Year to be awarded in London in February 2013.

PURE Union Square have been nominated for Day Spa of the Year once again, a category that they hope to keep hold of after their current 2 year reign. PURE’s founding location; PURE Lothian Road is new to the award nominations with a shortlist this year for Beauty Salon of the Year.

PURE group, has developed over a decade with 4 locations across Scotland in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. After being crowned with the prestigious Day Spa of the Year title in 2011 and 2012 for their Aberdeen location, PURE are now listed in the Beauty Salon category for the first time, making PURE group the only UK company to be shortlisted in both the beauty and spa sectors at the top industry awards.

Being shortlisted for both the beauty salon and day spa categories demonstrates PURE’s dominant position one of the most thriving industries in the UK. This year we celebrated our 10th birthday, to start this milestone year with a Professional Beauty win and end with 2 of our locations shortlisted for next years awards is just incredible”.

PURE Aberdeen, located within the Union Square shopping centre, is the only Scottish Day Spa to reach the finals and will compete against 4 England based spas. PURE Lothian Road, Edinburgh will also only be competing against 4 English salons after they were the only Scottish Beauty Salon to be nominated this year. Angela Robb, Spa Manager at Union Square says “We hope to keep the crown of UK’s Day Spa of the Year in 2013. PURE continues to push boundaries in spa and we are delighted to be shortlisted again”. In February 2013, the team from PURE Union Square, Aberdeen and PURE Lothian Road, Edinburgh will attend the black tie awards ceremony in London’s Park Lane. “For the last 2 years we have beaten off stiff competition from The Sanctuary Spa Covent Gardena and The Dorchester Spa for Day Spa of the Year. Now PURE’s reputation as leader in the Scottish and National Spa Industry is strengthened by beating the Sanctuary and Dorchester spas in London to be crowned ‘UK Day Spa of the Year 2012’.

This year, PURE Spa will be celebrating its 10th birthday which marks a huge milestone for the company.
