Nov. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Last Friday saw the Blacon Sportshall Infants Festival take place at Blacon
High School in Blacon, Chester for year 2 children from 5 local schools. The
event was jointly organised by Eveque Sportshall and The Redgrave Institute and
the audience included Sir Steve Redgrave and Mike Jones, leader of Cheshire West and Chester council, and George Bunner MBE, architect and founder of the Sportshall programme.

The 5 schools that took part were Dee Point Primary, Highfield Community Primary, JH Godwin
Primary, St. Theresa's Catholic Primary, and The Arches Community Primary. 3 teams from
each of the 5 schools were created and 30 year 7 leaders were allocated to orchestrate the activities.
Individual certificates were presented to all the teams by Sir Steve Redgrave, and each school received a record sheet of individual performances.

Managing Director of Eveque Sportshall, Tom Bunner, was initially approached by
Michael Breen of the Redgrave Institute who had heard about the programme and could instantly recognise the potential. As a result, Eveque Sportshall and The Redgrave Institute are working in partnership to provide every aspect of an integrated sporting programme into schools across the UK.
