Entrepreneur Education in Moldova - The Soho Loft to Assist Curriculum Creation

November 5, 2012 - World Entrepreneurship studies, SME policy, sustainable start ups and innovation will be taught in some of the new courses offered at leading state Universities in Moldova from 2013.  The Soho Loft has been asked to create the programs in partnership with Green Enterprising from Sweden.

USM, University of European Studies, Academy of Economic Studies and University of Academic Studies and Entrepreneur program are four leading Moldovan universities that are pursuing sustainable and innovative programs for their future entrepreneurs in their graduate programs.

David Drake adds "Green Enterprising has been involved with hundreds of Eastern European universities for decades and their leadership is pivotal for the communication of cross cultural and cross Atlantic participation.  The universities in Moldova and Russia are well organized and you will find former ambassadors and ministers of education within the university walls.  There is a desire to make a difference yet the challenges are formidable.  ERDB and World Bank is involved in several projects while we want to approach it from a bottom up approach —supply the tools to educate about entrepreneurial best practice.

“We met with several government heads during the World Entrepreneurship Forum in Lyon the week before we visited Moldova and learned that they were seeking policies and initiatives which might apply to their own formal and informal economies and entrepreneurship ecosystems.”

“We aim to start working with them on these topics and we will follow up with more nations at the UN event we host on November 14 in NYC.  TSL made a commitment to engage with 60 universities and government agencies within 6 months, and we are continuing to pursue that goal.”
