Boston Business Concepts, Inc. hosts Cards for Kids Poker Tournament

Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday November 3, 2012 Boston Business Concepts, Inc. employees Tarik, Arthur, and James put on a charity poker tournament to raise money for an ongoing charity that Boston Business Concepts has continued to work with known as Operation Smile. Melissa Lin and Allie Caputo, two of BBC employees graciously hosted the Cards for Kids poker tournament at their apartment. With twenty employees in attendance, this event was a true success! Our employees gathered to have some fun, laugh, and to raise money to assist in the fight to heal children’s smiles, forever changing their lives. BBC Inc. raised a total of $240 dollars for Operation Smile.

Operation Smile began in 1982 with Dr. Bill Magee and his wife Kathy. An adventurous couple that traveled to the Philippines with a group of medical volunteers to heal children’s cleft lips and cleft palates.

At Operation Smile medical volunteers provide safe, effective, and free cleft lip palate repair surgery for children born all over the world. Operation Smile is a dedicated organization to raising awareness of this life threatening issue and providing lasting solutions that will allow all children to be healed, regardless of their financial situation. Operation Smile has shined in over 60 countries, showing that their free surgeries and medical missions are made possible by thousands of volunteers and donors throughout the world, who continue to contribute their time, talent, and the resources to their cause.
