One of the highlighted videos is about its Parent Education Program. For 33 years, LCPC’s Parent Education Program has maintained its legacy of quality education and reputable staff. Currently, the program offers 13 parent education classes per week for parents of children who are newborns through age 18. Parents of children zero through five attend Parent & Child Classes, while parents of elementary, tween and teen children attend Parent Only Classes. Approximately 400 parents and children from 22 cities come on campus every week for parent education—driving from a 30-mile radius of La Cañada.
The video features parents with stories of how the program has impacted their lives, as well as Parent Ed teacher, Jan Roberts. Roberts is an accomplished speaker and author, who writes a column for the Outlook paper as “The Parent Coach.” A former Palm Crest Elementary School teacher, Roberts has been an instructor for the LCP Parent Education program for 14 years and is a mother of three grown children.
In addition to the Parent Education Program, the church provides programs for children, youth and youth counseling, paraprofessional counseling, Grief Recovery, Divorce Recovery, opportunities to serve in the community and small groups, which help individuals to form community.
