The USO had a last minute need for sponsorship support and Jeri Prophet with her Team consisting of some fellow business supporters and volunteers rallied to provide it. Welcome Home Warriors, we are here to serve YOU today! The USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia through the generosity and support of several local businesses: IntellecTechs, GO2GEAR.com, TFA Benefits, REAVESCOLEY PLLC, The Frieden Agency, JRS Worldwide and Capstone Corporation, will serve Thanksgiving Lunch on 15 November 2012 from 1100-1400 at the Navy Mobilization Processing site (NMPS) USO center located on Naval Station Norfolk. Jeri Prophet, creator of NowHiringVeterans.com, and founder of MOVIT, through her coordinated efforts has rallied customers and encouraged community business leaders to combine efforts in providing funds and volunteers to serve over 350 military members, who are rehabilitating or in a transient status and their caregivers, at NMPS. “We are thankful for their service and want to provide them a reminder of the home-cooked meal we all enjoy on Thanksgiving with our families” said Pamela Edwards, COO-JRS Worldwide. St Paul’s Episcopal Church-Norfolk and St. John’s Lutheran Church-Norfolk will be preparing food for the building J-50 event. The mission of the USOHR, is to enhance the quality of life of US Armed Services personnel through cooperative relationships with the civilian community.
