Pentair has recently decided to renovate their front entry at their plant in Glendale adding a new Permeable Paver walkway LED lighting and plantings. The permeable pavers, manufactured by Unilock in Elkhorn, WI, allow rain water and snow melt to filter through the pavers and into the ground. The front walkway will have a rubber membrane liner designed to capture the water and recycle it through a pump system that will supply water to a sign to be installed as well.
Breckenridge Landscape has installed several permeable paver projects including 40,000sf at the Milwaukee County Zoo as well as an award winning project in Sheboygan,WI. Pentair asked Breckenridge to design a new front entrance that would reflect the type of environmentally friendly products they manufacture. The permeable pavers were the perfect solution as they eliminate storm water runoff which can lead to erosion and flooding.
The project will begin this month (November 2012) and should be completed by November 20th for a walk through planned by the corporate leaders.
