Sacramento Movers’ newest team members both came from American River College in Sacramento. Dave had studied psychology there just before finding a job as a mover. He said he is glad to be in a position where he can “help people.” In his free time, Dave enjoys poetry as a hobby. The second new face at Sacramento Moving Company is Phil. Prior to finding a position as a mover Phil studied professional audio engineering at American River College. A true musician at heart, Phil usually spends his spare time playing electric guitar. He decided to get a job as a mover because he needed a reliable, full time job, which would be tough to find in the line of business of audio engineering.
Training for the new movers commenced on November sixth with a morning of viewing informative training video lessons. One of Sacramento Moving Company’s key trainers, Michael, lead the new employees through the training day including reviewing the training manual that all the company’s employees must know before going out on a job. The afternoon was filled with hands on training in the company’s warehouse, where the new crew members learned how to accurately pad and stretch wrap all household furniture pieces and carefully fill them on the truck. One thing that sets Sacramento Movers apart from other moving companies is the fact that each new hire spends substantial time in the warehouse learning and practicing how to accurately protect both the customer’s items and the location.
