Join the fun at the 2012 Gingerbread House Event on December 16th at the Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna, BC. You can build a gingerbread creation at home for the Open category or build a gingerbread kit at the event in the Packaged Kit category. There is even an exciting new category this year called the Creative Kit which allows you to bring extra candy from home!
The Gingerbread House Event, which supports the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs’ Cool Moves program, is entering its third year and it’s already shaping up to be another exciting occasion. Both recreational and competitive participants are welcome.
For the competitive categories, there is over $1000 in cash and prizes to be won. Don’t miss out on seeing all of the creative houses including the amazing entries from the professional chef category. Several chefs from our community have already committed to building a gingerbread creation for your wondering eyes to behold. While non-perishable food donations are welcomed, the Public Viewing is FREE and open until 5:00pm on December 16th at Parkinson Recreation Centre.
Registration is $25 for all categories. Whatever your style, you’re sure to have a lot of fun. Find registration information and more for the Gingerbread House Event now at http://www.gingerbreadcompetition.ca
