By: Forte Creative Media Dr. Banchik will present “Your Smile During and After Cancer Treatment.” Smiles for Survivors is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support breast cancer patients and survivors by raising awareness of the potential oral side effects of cancer treatment and by providing preventative and restorative dental treatment for breast cancer patients and survivors through a network of dentists and dental specialists. An expert in oral health and cancer patients, Dr. Banchik was personally selected by the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition to provide the most up-to-date health and wellness information to empower and educate women affected by the disease. “I am honored that the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition has invited me to speak at their annual conference,” Smiles for Survivors Foundation (SFS) is a Las Vegas-based non-profit organization that raises awareness of potential oral side effects of cancer treatment and provides dental treatment for breast cancer patients and survivors through a network of dentists. SFS network of dentists who provide services on a pro-bono basis have performed 40 procedures on local breast cancer patients and survivors to help restore their oral health by repairing damage and alleviating pain caused by cancer treatment. Most recently, SFS celebrated their 2nd Annual Blow Out Breast Cancer fundraising event at Square Colour Salon + Spa. The posh beauty event raised nearly $15,000 for the organization and its continued efforts.
