“I always loved the aesthetics and archivability of flush mount albums. I wanted to find a way to merge the beauty of printed photographs with the many benefits that have come from modern digital photography”
While many wedding photographers experience a drop in print sales, due to both the demand for digital negatives and availability of albums sold direct to consumers, the Evolution Album has presented a new way to display digital photographs. The majority of the album appears as a classic flush mount album. It isn’t until the selected page is opened, that sound and movement come from the page and the difference becomes clear.
“It fulfills a demand for both the photographer and their client” says Megan Anderson, who assisted in the development and design of the Evolution Album. “Photographers now create dramatic slideshows, ‘fusions’ or pair with videographers. Their clients love the idea of incorporating this additional element into their album” she says.
