Nowadays teachers are relying on technology more than ever to help the education of our children.  It has been proven that students do learn more when they are fully interactive with learning tools rather than siting in their desk and just stare at the board.  Think for a moment, if you are just listing to the instructor and do not have any interaction on what they are trying to teach you.  YOU WILL GET BORED...and eventually fall asleep.  Yeah I fell into that trap many times.  Now what happens when the teacher calls your name and ask you to go to the board and solve an equation.  You become fully aware and more focus.  Reading books or just sitting around in class is not as effective.  You need to interact. You need the constant challenge.

Lets add another situation in the scenario.  What if there was an autistic child.  A child that goes through the difficulty of focusing in class or at home...even something simple we do in our everyday life.

Schools are adapting. They are changing the way they are teaching kids and it looks very promising   Kids are learning much quicker with less strain and frustration on our teachers.  It is coming to a point where the students are given an electronic device and they pretty much know what to do with it.

This device is known as the Ipad.  The iPad is a line of tablet computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The first iPad was released on April 3, 2010.

With an iPad you can shoot video, take photos, play music, even send and receive email, and browse the web. Can't forget other functions like games, social networking, etc.  If you are not happy with some of the application that comes with the iPad...you can download others from the Apple Store and you will be amazed how affordable they are. There are thousands of apps that help kids learn things from Math to Science, English language to History..all of it right at their fingertips

A few years ago there was an experiment.  A few selected school around the country were given a iPads for autistic children in their class.  They were taught on how to use the iPad with the learning application.  The results were amazing.  not only did the autistic kids learn new things...their self confidence grew.  Students interaction with not only each other but with others outside of class surprised the teachers.  How can a small device produce big results.

The demand of iPads for autistic children in our schools is growing.

iPads for Autistic Children is something that sounds crazy at first but when you think about it, it just like standing in front of a chalkboard..but without everyone staring at you.  So the kids feel very comfortable at the same time challenged by solving question giving to them.  Its like having their own personal teacher with them at all times.

I am a father of 2 autistic children.  A daughter that is 11 and a son of 13 years.  Both schools where my kids attend implicated the program and I can tell you right now...IT WORKS.  My son greatly improved in both vocally and social ability   Before he was so shy and did not want to interact with anyone.  He also had issues in speeches .you noticed I said "had". Right now you can't stop him from talking..lol.  His vocal ability increase and the also his confidence.  Of course now he can't get enough of technology.  My daughter also improved   She does not speak but is now able to communicate with us using the iPad or a picture board when she needs something...before it was a nightmare playing guessing game.
