OWATONNA, MN…Viracon, the nation’s leading single-source architectural glass fabricator, will showcase the latest addition to their decorative glass portfolio, DigitalDistinctions™
DigitalDistinctions is a digital printing solution from Viracon that allows a building designer to insert their artistic expressions into a glass façade, enabling a vast selection of colors to be applied to a single lite of glass. DigitalDistinctions is highly customizable to high-resolution images, patterns, text, textures, dots and lines, just to name a few.
“I’m very excited to add this new technology to our extensive product lines and offerings,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing and Product Management. “With more than 40 years of experience in this industry, we have spent a great deal of time evaluating various technologies and options to find the one that would best match the needs and demands of architects and designers in North America and around the world. I’m impressed by the products we are producing, and our customers will be amazed at our new capabilities.”
DigitalDistinctions offers the unique ability to customize individual glass lites, each with its own design, color scheme and ability to fit a variety of glass systems. It can be combined with clear or tinted glass substrates as well as with high-performance coatings to reduce glare and decrease solar transmission.
The ability to deposit Viracon’s solar control coatings directly over a digital image is a turnkey competency for which Viracon is well-known. Similar to its continuing silk-screen technology, Viracon can provide customized, distinct imagery and the essential solar control performance on the most appropriate glass surface.
DigitalDistinctions will be prominently displayed at Greenbuild on November 14, 2012 in San Francisco, CA at Booth #3676N.
