Jewish Family Service - Utah lecture: “Bullying Prevention in Schools,” November 14

The Salt Lake community is invited to join Ben Springer, PhD, and Jewish Family Service – Utah, to explore the very timely and important issue of bullying, which affects children of all faiths and cultures throughout the United States.

Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Springer is an award-winning school psychologist and behavior specialist in the Park City (UT) School District. He is also a consultant with Spring Forward, a resource for families and schools struggling to manage difficult childhood behavior problems and educational difficulties.

As an expert in bullying prevention, social-skills instruction, and school-wide positive behavior supports, Dr. Springer will address:

 ·What bullying looks like
 ·How parents and schools can prevent and respond to bullying
 ·How to create a safe environment for children
 ·How to prepare children for the challenge of bullying

A question and answer panel discussion will follow, featuring Dr. Springer, Melanie Battistone, PhD, McGillis School Psychologist and Middle School Director, and Jessica Weeks, a Doctoral student specializing in bullying assessment and interventions.
