The Latin Flavor Cafe showcases the most popular regional dishes from across the Latin World to Asheville. Those who have visited the Latin countries of Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Cuba, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Mexico or Spain will recognize and enjoy the same popular dishes they enjoyed when visiting these nations.
“I love the heritage and cuisine of the Latin world, my world, and wanted to bring these dishes to Asheville”, stated Sofia Aldana, owner of The Latin Flavor Cafe. “Growing up in Mexico City and visiting many of these nations, gave me a passion to share the popular dishes with their unique flavors here in my new home in Western North Carolina. These dishes are not Americanized – they are the traditional and most popular dishes prepared fresh for each customer.”
From regional favorites like Peruvian Chupe de Camarones – a creamy shrimp and crawfish chowder, or the enticing Paella with its PEI mussels, shrimp, calamari, cod, chorizo and smoked paprika. Each dish is well chosen and is complimented with great service in relaxing family atmosphere.
They also showcase monthly regional favorites, which enables you to sample new menu items that are not only traditional but seasonal as well. They also have a wonderful vegetarian selection, full bar, as well as private room that seats 35.
