November promotions and giving programs include:
· Election day is delicious with Kara’s ‘Sweet The Vote’ promotion. When guests show their “I VOTED” sticker on Tuesday Nov 6th they receive a FREE mini cupcake of their choice.
· In support of Meals On Wheels San Francisco (MOWSF), the only home-delivered meal program in San Francisco that provides homebound senior with two meals a day, Kara’s Cupcakes has created a delicious and exclusive MOWSF Pumpkin Pie Cupcake. A pumpkin cupcake, filled with a homemade caramel, topped with an Italian meringue vanilla butter cream and adorned with a Meals on Wheels custom logo. Through November 30, 20% of the proceeds from the sale of each Pumpkin Pie Cupcake will be donated back to MOWSF.
· Every Thanksgiving Day celebrity chef Ryan Scott and a group of volunteers hand out boxed lunches and new pairs of socks to those in need through his Harvest from the Heart Non Profit. Kara’s Cupcakes has supported this cause for three years and will continue with a donation of over 500 Kara’s pumpkin spice cupcakes to be included with Scott’s tasty Thanksgiving meals.
· The Napa Valley Film Festival will be ‘reel sweet’ this year. As the key dessert sponsor, Kara’s Cupcakes has created an exclusive Napa Film Festival Cabernet Cupcake. A chocolate cupcake with chocolate cabernet ganache featuring the wines from the Stags Leap District’s 2008 appellation collection. 1000 of these film festival wine inspired cupcakes will be featured at the Festival Gala at Robert Mondavi Winery and available at our Oxbow Public Market bakery throughout the festival week.
In October Kara’s Cupcakes raised more than $4000 for the Bay Area’s Breast Cancer Emergency Fund. Since 2001, Breast Cancer Emergency Fund (BCEF) has been the only Bay Area organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to low-income women and men battling breast cancer.
