WHY: Women think differently than men, and this difference can be a powerful source of competitive advantage. Women who are becoming entrepreneurs today also come from diverse professional backgrounds, from science and engineering to business functions such as marketing and finance. The definition of an entrepreneur is quickly changing to encompass people from multiple professional backgrounds, and from both genders.
Strother joins a panel at the Empowering Women in Technology Startups event that will judge a group of business plans developed by female entrepreneurs on a real technology. The goal is to empower these women to take their project to the next step and launch their business. By providing women with the necessary entrepreneurial training to leverage women’s unique skills and perspectives for new business creation, they can be transformed from employees to employers.
