Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Recently, Google announced EMD Updates. For initial 2-3 days, there was a great confusion among the web owners and web masters communities about how it will affect the websites having “exact match domains’. For some web owners, it was like a hammering blow because their websites were live and were working well. And, within overnight the page rank of EMD websites dropped considered leaving the website owners to find out smart organic SEO professionals who could understand the liking of this major search engine.

Think etc (http://www.thinketc.com/the-complete-google-ranking-guide) also launched a complete Google Ranking guige, which also explains that this new filter will ensure that any low-quality website would not get nice rank in Google search results just because it has popular search term in its domain name. Like its other filter named Panda, Google’s EMD too will be updated periodically. However, some EMD websites remained unaffected this time but it is not sure by what time these will remain unnoticed by next EMD updates. The websites spared this time may be hit by next time.

It is also important to understand that all the websites having search term in domain names are not going to get a setback surely. Google EMD update makes it very clear that the purpose of introducing this filter is to penalize poor quality websites which get higher rank just because of their domain names. Definitely, the content of web pages is going to rule the result ranking. EMD domains are not the target but EMD domains having poor quality content will suffer - if not this time then next time. Though Panda was doing good and its existence is widely appraised by the SEO community having faith in organic SEO practices but it was not able to identify and check the undue benefit of EMD domains.

In total, the EMD website owners need to be smart on front of SEO and for this they need experienced organic SEO experts who understand the language of Google search engine. This is not the last Google update, more are expected soon. Every search engine likes quality, so feed the quality to get better visibility.
