BDEW & EURELECTRIC Participation at the 4th Annual Smart Grids Summit

Nov. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Winner of ‘Best Energy Event 2012’ at the Conference Awards, the Smart Grids Summit returns for its 4th year in association with BDEW and Eurelectric.

This year’s summit focuses on how to generate smart cities and smart regions as well as managing customers’ energy demand. Eurelectric has been working on encouraging consumers to actively manage their energy demand - for instance allowing them to shift their electricity consumption to times of lower prices. BDEW (The German Association of Energy and Water Industries) supports sustainable energy and also represents 1,800 companies - which contribute with their products and services to safeguarding people’s quality of life today and in the future.

The summit offers an excellent opportunity for energy industry professionals to gain expertise of its supporting associations- BDEW and Eurelectric. Their participation at the summit will play a vital role. Mr Gunnar Lorenz, Head of Unit, Network at EURELECTRIC will be the chairman of the event. Also, Mr Eric Malte Ahlers, Division Manager, Commercial Asset Management from BDEW will speak about the successful implementation of smart grids in Germany and beyond.
